Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) is the statutory insurer-of-last-resort. If a Malaysian life insurer fails, PIDM continues benefit payments up to the protection limits. General insurance is also covered, but on a different scheme.PIDM(马来西亚存款保险公司)是法定的「最后兜底人」。若马来西亚人寿保险公司破产,PIDM 在保障上限内继续给付。综合保险同样受保,但走另一套机制。Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) ialah penanggung-akhir berkanun. If your total death benefit exceeds RM 500k, splitting between two insurers gives each policy its own RM 500k PIDM ring-fence.
